Legoland Manchester report 11/04/2010

Bradley decided that we had to visit the Legoland center Manchester, I am pleased that we did as this is an amazing attraction.
I have never been really into Lego but we found this place fascinating, we did not get the chance to visit the one in London but we enjoyed today.
It even has a shoot them Dual type ride, its brilliant..

We arrived in the afternoon to a lovely location the Trafford Center Manchester..

Once you enter you wait until the guided tour starts, or you can bypass it and go straight into the attraction.
We decided to do the tour first..

The Tour starts, basically you are shown how lego is made, you are then given a piece..

Some of the Models..

It has an interactive shoot them up ride..

It has a huge play area..

A very cool 4D Cinema..

Just am amazing fun place to visit, we loved it..

Alton Towers 5/10/08

Well we had a choice of either the Blackpool Pleasure Beach or Alton Towers today.
In Blackpool it was a dead cert to have excellent weather whilst the midlands it had flood warnings.
My kids were desperate to visit the Towers so I studied the weather for Sunday.
The BBC said on its site that by 10.30 it should be dry in Alton so we decided to take a chance and go to Alton..

It was clear in Blackpool..

First ride was for little Brad…

Me & Louise..

We did the Charlie Ride..
We love this ride and the aroma  of chocolate is just brilliant….!

Chris & Charlotte…

Time for Rita…..
I was looking at this are with interest as somebody mentioned that Rita might be developed but I cant see it myself..

Closer..

When I take a picture I always try and capture emotion and detail..
The Rita ride is probably the best ride (In my opinion) to do this…

Just look at their faces….

Good old Corkie…

The Ug Swinger…

Chris & Charlotte did Ripsaw…
I didnt fancy it yet… 😯

Bradley wanted to take a few piccies….

Ok back to me now…

I love Altons Monorails…

Just to get you in the mood for Scarefest I was chatting to somebody about the plans for Dual..
He told me that there will be live actors on the ride but the guns will be deactivated..

Does he look better in Colour….?

Or Black & White..?

The Haunted Hollow walk…

BOO..!

We peeped inside these little Tombes…

I just love the scenic views of this park…

Oblivion…

Brad took these pictures…
He is getting better… 8-[

Alton Towers 6th of April 09

Well we had a mixed day at Alton Towers today and to be honest I feel that we might of caught a few members of staff on a bad day because they were horrible infact very nasty but I wont go into details of it but a strongly worded letter is being written to the Management of the park..

Anyway the journey from Blackpool was excellent not a single road jam and we hit the park just after 930am..
We went straight to Air and qued for the front seats and found the experience to be excellent..
Our next ride was Nemmie and it was so intense it was excellent..
We then made our way to ride the Blade as it had absolutely no ques but on leaving the ride Bradley was sick..
I was so sorry for him and I should of remembered that he is only 8..
I was apologetic to the ride staff who were brilliant and I asked if I could clean up the mess  and they told me that it was ok and they would do it…
We decided that we should take it easy for the rest of the day..

Bradley soon started to feel better and we headed to ride Dual..

The one thing that makes Alton Towers stand out from any other park is its wildlife its brill..

Alton Towers 4th of May 09

We decided on visiting Alton Towers today rather than the Pleasure Beach as the weather was going to be bit rubbish or so the BBC claimed.
We arrived at just gone 10am at a slightly overcast but dry Alton Towers..

We had an excellent day in fact it was the best trip of the year so far brilliant..

Our first ride was Spinball…

Rita..

Air..

BIGGEST LAUGH OF THE DAY…

We watched this very posh woman take her Grand kids on the Battle boats..
We just could resist rushing round and soaking her I very nearly peed my pants..

Starts off ok..

we then attack…  ;D

Direct hit and the sprogs get it too…  :P

Right on the kisser..

Fair play to the woman she fights back..    ???

Pirate picture to finish..

Chessington World of Adventures 5/4/10

Our first day of our Easter break to London was spent at Chessington Theme Park & Zoo..
We left Blackpool at 5.30am and arrived in London in time for opening.
We found that Chessington was a very good park with an excellent assortment of rides to suit people of all ages.

We loved Tomb Blaster of which was a shoot them up type of ride..

It had a brilliant water ride..

We had a typical theme park lunch of Hot Dogs..

I hate heights and I hate revolving wheels even more but I was forced onto it..
Quite a strange ride, it basically goes  round once but it stops and starts to let people on & off so its more of stop start revolution  if you know what I mean..  ???

It was blowing a bit and shaking..  ;)

After our scare on the wheel we ventured over to see the rest of the park.
Its themed into different continents its excellent..
This is Asia..

We went on Cobra a new top spin flat ride for 2010..
We really enjoyed this ride it was great fun..

A tree that talks to Children and squirts water over them when its tickled..

A Tut Tut..?

We ventured into the Vampire area,..

Views of the Zoo from the Monorail..

Thanks for reading..

Alton Towers 21/03/10 Thirteen is here..!

Just returned from an amazing day at Alton Towers, we set off from Blackpool at 8am and arrived at the park around 10am.
We could barely hide our excitement at the prospect of riding Thirteen for the first time, we debated for what seemed forever what we felt the ride would be like.
We  had  a good idea of what the ride would be like and to be honest we were not exactly blown away by the GMTV preview that was filmed live from Alton Towers last Thursday.
We arrived at the entrance to 13 and could barely contain our excitement, the Waifs walking outside the entrance give it that scarey edge and I just knew that we were about to ride something very special.
Alton Towers have spent some serious money here and its clearly evident from what they have created.
We qued from the entrance and it took no more than 35 minutes to get to our seats, the ride staff have mastered dispatch of the ride in the opening weekend..
I wont go into too much detail about the ride as I don’t want to be the  one to spoil it for others but its common knowledge that the coaster is dropped and I found it to be absolutely insane its an unbelievable concept  that has been turned into reality..
I have to say that after riding Thirteen I was left wanting more, the ride is unique, incredible and fun..
We rode 13 I think 8 times and never got bored of it and every time we went on it we felt it was better each time..
We gave it a Mowbray 10 for everything, a superb ride that if you ignore the hype and focus on the ride it will blow you away..

We arrived at a Sun Kissed Alton Towers..

A lovely touch The Corkscrew is on display..

We spotted Ant in the queline..

Waifs outside..

We met up with TTF Members..

We decided on lunch in the Woodcutter that used to be Ritas ribs..

THORPE PARK 8/4/2010

Whilst staying in London we had to visit Thorpe Park, we arrived at the park in a very excited state as we had never visited before.

I have to say that I have mixed opinions on this park, the rides are incredible but sadly from what we experienced the park itself lacked in organisation in the way that the ques are operated and the hygiene of the park as it did look a bit tatty in places.

But having said that the rides are some of the finest anywhere in the world.. 8)

Our first experience was Saw Alive, We quite enjoyed this and only qued around half an hour  to go in.
It has scenes of terror from the Saw Movie although to my shame I have not seen any of the films I quite enjoyed the actors jumping out of the dark corners and scaring us.. 😀

We then rode Saw the Ride.. 8)
A very very good coaster a bit rough in places but that added to the excitement..

They have a lot of little kiddie rides too..

We noticed that Stealth was open from a distance..

It took us nearly 2 hours to ride the front seats, but what an amazing 12 secs.. 8) 8)

—————————————————————————————————————————————–ALTON TOWERS 24/10/2010

Well having stayed the night in a lovely B&B in Staffordshire we made our way to Alton Towers..

It was Halloween fortnight so we were looking forward to spending the  day being scared..

On parking the car we decided to walk to the main entrance, we spotted a little fox running around…

At the Entrance…

Lots of pumpkins etc…

Haunted Hollow..

To Duel Live…

We joined the que for the Terror of the Towers…!!!

Sighs….. Bradley trying to scare people.. ::)  ;D

Louise had a takeout from the Pizza place..

She and around 20 others were put of their food by a guy  that was around 30 stone…!
Long story but basically  it involved him constantly bending over in his ill fitting jeans, exposing his  very large spotty arse..

This man..

He was still in there eating an hour later when we wanted to use the toilet.. 😀

Whilst Louise finished off her lunch, we braved the Congo Rapids..

Bradley had a go…

Trick or Treat..

Brrrr far too cold…

Thanks for reading, sorry its late..

ALTON TOWERS 2/04/13

Well its been a while since we have visited Britain’s Premier Park..  It has changed quite a lot in the 3 or 4 years since we last visited..

We had purchased these Merlin Premium passes, very good value and lots of perks..

So we left Blackpool at 8.30am and reached Alton Towers at just got 10.00am 97 miles from start to finish..I love my Audi it grows wings from time to time..

I realised that leaving my coat at home was such a bad move.As I was freezing my knackers off

The old retired legend of a ride The Corkscrew greeted us..

Such a pretty park..

Into The Dark Forest to ride Rita and Thirteen..

Chris being cool at the point launch..

Louise and Charlotte having some sort of seizure..!!!!!  ;)

The Sanctuary..Well this absolutely freaked me out..!

Live actors get up close to you and in your face, seriously scary..
Its a Mental Asylum, you are led in a line holding the other person by the shoulders in front of you, its dark and at times confined..Actors pop up with make up and blood all over them, they scream into your face, you are then led into the bedrooms and kitchen etc, it does go on for quite a while, and you have nowhere to escape too..!

This actor briefs you about the do’s and dont’s

The New ride..The Smiler.. :thumbup1:

A big thank you to Alton Towers for allowing me to take these pictures of the new ride being constructed.. :thumbup1:

Through Gloomy Wood in Search of Nemesis.. :w00t: :w00t:

Yikes..!!!!  :w00t:

This was good, its random drop tower.. :tongue_smilie:

Oh we Found Nemesis..

Still a good ride after 19 years.. :thumbup1:

We plan to return this Friday to complete all the rides..weather dependant..

Hope you enjoyed reading and sharing with you my pictures from Alton Towers..
