Pleasure Beach 14/04/11

I ventured to the Pleasure Beach this afternoon with Louise, we bumped into Robbie Savage, a lovely bloke, I had a good chat with him for quite a long time..

He told me that he loved it in Blackpool, I thanked him on behalf of the Blackpool supporters for his nice comments about the club in the tabloids..
For those that dont know, Robbie has stuck up for Ian Holloway and Blackpool FC ALL season..

All the other pundits changed sides to suit..
Robbie reconised me as being on Sky Televisions Soccer AM last August..

Pleasure Beach report 20/03/11

I start my report by saying what an amazing day we had, it was the best day at the Pleasure Beach thus far (this year)..

Car parking, yes you can pay £7 to park at the Pleasure Beach, but we prefer to try and save our pennies..

For visiting families I highly recommend parking outside number 7 Watson Rd, its a quiet place to park and you always get a nice warm welcome from the woman who lives there..

Oh and beep your horn a few times..

We arrived at the Pleasure Beach, unfortunately it was slightly damp..

Ghost Train…

We go to find Kryn and the rest of the TTF group inside…

Bradley had some sweets, but no ordinary sweets, they are basic red hot chilli sweets, they are seriously hot..

Just starting to work now, the GM modified Chilli sweets , with the equivalent of 200 Chilli’s per sweet, takes effect..

Pleasure Beach Blackpool report 19/02/11

Peter is not feeling 100% so I am doing this weeks report
On Saturday we visited the Pleasure Beach, it was a little quieter then the previous week and very cold, but it was worth a trip.

Everything was once again , excellent

Pleasure Beach Report 13/06/10

With Christopher being unable to attend the Pleasure Beach today due to him starting his new job Jenny, Charlotte’s friend joined us..

We arrived at opening time and found that most of the rides were not open until 11am.
We didn’t mind as it gave us time to have a chat with some of the staff and to take a few pictures..

The PMBO was open at 1030, so we joined the que..

BPB Report 11th of July 2010

This was a very special day, I met up with my good friend Dave and his lovely family, we also met up with a lovely young couple Christina and James..
The weather was magnificent but a slight wind delayed the opening of the PMBO.

After our afternoon tea with 4 sugars (we normally take 7) we decided do some rides..

Charlotte and I had those gourmet burger meals whilst Louise fumed that she did not like what was on offer..

But Louise was happy getting crabs… 😀

Now little Christina was told off by a Polish woman who worked in the coffee shop for eating her BPB hot dog whilst sat in an otherwise empty seat.. :

Halloween at the Pleasure Beach 2010…

We visited the Pleasure Beach today for a few hours, it was not very busy and we had a very good time..

All the rides were running very well, and some of the staff got into the Halloween theme.
I am still to post my report from Alton Towers the previous week, I wanted to post the Pleasure Beach Halloween report first, but BPB is less corporate and in a way cute..

The Last Day of the Season BPB 7/11/10

As a rule we always try and make the first and last days of the Pleasure Beach.
We have so many friends there and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else..

We started our day looking at a very posh car, as there was a Wedding function..

The Pleasure Beach legend John was operating it, and I was so impressed with the inside of it.
It had a major clean up and all new lights..

Live In Blackpool meet report 27/11/10

This was Live In Blackpool’s first official meet, and what a cracker.. !!

As the park only had half its rides open during these special weekends, I have to say that the fun we had was amazing.
It was very very raw and cold, Charlotte wasn’t 100% and tried to attend but after an hour didnt feel well and asked if I could take her home..
Ash was working until 4ish so didnt attend the meet until later, we were invited to visit the control centre at Brilliance Blackpool by Greg, I have decided to create a separate topic for this as it was very special..
I will do that either Sunday evening or on Monday..

As we approached the park we noticed the Monorail maintenance car was out..

Much to our surprise the Pleasure Beach had opened half an hour before the advertised time..

Welldone BPB..

And Father Xmas and Bella Beaver were there to greet people..

I dont care what people have said about these sculpture gardens, I think that they aesthetically enhance the entrance to the park..

Ghost Train..

We arrived and it was walk on..

It was nice to say hello to the Club Pleasure Beach fansite as we left the ride, they were having what they call an exclusive ride time on it as they are the official group that represents the Pleasure Beach.
I believe that they were going to have 30 minutes on the Grand National but it had developed a fault, so they had 30 minutes on the Ghost train instead.. 😀

I left to take Charlotte home and Chris/Louise took the next few pictures in Black & White.. 😀

He had the wrong function on.. ;D

Still very good though..

Im back and dont check my settings.. 😀

Live From Blackpool/Ride Guide Meet November 2008, when I was involved with LIB we had a joint meet with Ride Guide members.
It was a great day with lots of random antics..It was quite a large meet up and we had a few members from Live In Blackpool in attendance..

Ride Guide & BPB Guide meet opening day 2008

I was really chuffed to bits when Photobucket contacted me recently with regards to some old accounts that I thought were lost..
I have recently upgraded to the Pro version and they really take care of their customers and throw in a few extras to the subscriber..

I plan to post more pictures or reports from a few years back as they had been posted on the BPB Guide but sadly the site has now closed..
Firstly there are some photographs with some features removed out of respect for these people.
I really wanted to show these pictures intact but at the same time did not want to offend anybody by posting their faces on here and I really hope that no offence is taken.
If the people would like the images intact I can revert them back to the originals and I would be delighted to do this.
So once again please don’t take offence to the distorted faces on some of the images..

Edit Via the Ride Guide Forum I have been allowed to unswirl the images and post them as intended.
I think that the pictures are special and would be lost forever if I didn’t post them.
I would also like to post others from the day and I will be delighted if the people on the images would use them for their own collections..

Pleasure Beach report 3rd May 2010

I was working until 2pm today so did not arrive at the park until 3pm.
The Pepsi Max Big One was sadly closed due to high winds but I did see that Bling was open but I failed to get any pictures of it.. :-[ but I will next week if we go..

Christopher was doing some sponsored walk thing at Pendel hill so it was myself, Louise, Charlotte & Bradley.. 😀

The park was very quiet for a Bank Holiday I am not sure if this was within expectations,.

The Opening day at the BPB 13/02/2010

I have just returned home after having experienced the best opening day at the Pleasure Beach for over a decade..
It was superb everything was perfect and the park looked excellent, I had a lovely conversation with Mrs Amanda Thompson of which will stay private but I congratulated her on her superb work around the park as you will see in this report.

We arrived at the park slightly later at 11am as we wanted to avoid the rush, the Pleasure Beach was bathed in sunshine and as we entered the park through the security gates we were met by the lovely Sculptured Gardens.
I was a bit excited at the prospect of seeing these gardens and the images that I had seen on Facebook do NOT do it justice, I sincerely hope that mine do.. 😎

The Pleasure Beach are selling healtyh food, and I was impressed with their range.
Dont get me wrong we love Pizza and hot dogs but prefer lovely jacket potatoes..

We made our way to the Big Dipper and was met by a stunning site as you will see in this report it looks brilliant and rides better than ever..
We decided to ride the back of the train as this is normally the roughest part of the train, we found it to be smooth as glass and the air time as your bum left the seat was amazing..

The Dodgems..
Well the asthetics and visuals of this ride is amazing..
it looks so good as you will see in the images, I opted out of riding it though due to my shoulder healing after my car accident but Louise & the boys rode it and loved it..

Now my biggest surprise was the Ghost Train.. 😮
It has changed inside…. 😎 😎 yes you heard me right it was kick ass scarey…!!
They have seriously spent a lot of money here on animitronics, they even have an exorcist girl with a turning head..!!
Brilliant we left the ride quite shocked its amazing…

The PMBO was silky smooth and running very well..

Staff training, its obvious that the staff have been trained to a high standard, the management of the rides are of an excellent professional standard.

The Mowbray/Kerr Barbie 2 day event..12/07/09

Well this was the highlight of the year the famous barbie at the Mowbrays with Kerr family visiting Blackpool from Scotland..
I wont say too much just let the pictures tell the story of this excellent day and even the weather did not spoil the day..

A few beers and plenty of wine was disgracefully consumed before the silly faces started to happen and the random messing around.. ;D

Christmas 2007

A little retro report from 11 years ago, Christmas opening at the Pleasure Beach, it was held in the North Park area of the Pleasure Beach..

The images of the dancers performing outside are probably the only pictures in exsistance as they only did performed a few times on that day, and for the rest of the time it was too cold..
