Viva Summer Spectacular 2018

I left this show last night feeling absolutely speechless, what an incredible fast moving show with amazing costume changes set to music..

We arrived nice and early as we were eating, and if I am being honest as an independant reviewer I am allowed to be completely honest, I was seriously taken back by the food..

It was in my opinion fitting to be served in a top London restaurant, I regret not taking pictures of the food now, but we had a Main of Chicken served on a bed of mash potatato with a light peppercorn sauce and acconment of carefully wrapped in leek, seasonal vegatables     cooked aldente, followed by a lovely Cheeskake..much to the approval of the guests at our table..

So we are off to a good start..

I have been around for quite a while now reviewing various shows and I have got to say that I was quite excited about this one if I am being totally honest.

I go back quite a long way to around 2010 reviewing Leye D Johns and Martin Haywood and various supporting Teams, as  I know what I am going to see.

What you are going to be guaranteed is show that will keep you entertained for around 3.5hrs..Superb value for money..

Leye or I like to call him Mr Blackpool as he has stood the test of time performing in Blackpool for around 25 years, and that’s some achievement in itself as the audiences in Blackpool can be  quite tough at times..

Leye is a quality all round entertainer, I actually for the first time last night watched him take some lead vocals, I  didnt know that he could sing so well..He was brilliant…!

So the Show in a nutshell is based around some of the biggest Film and Stage productions and a take on some of the best selling musical pop groups in history with a bit of Leye D Johns comical brilliance in between..

So it starts with Barnum..

The Viva Showgirls and they are multi talented singers and dancers took to the stage to perform a medley of hits..

What I love about Viva and its building is its superb sound system and lighting..it makes a massive difference to a show, without decent lighting and sound a show is nothing..Company Director Martin Haywood take a bow..

The Lion King..

Irving Berlin ‘Putting on the Ritz ‘ with some incredible dance routines..

From South Pacific I am going to wash that Man right outa my hair..but with a really funny twist to it..Very cleverly done..

West Side Story..

Bon Jovi ‘Sweet child of mine’ Loved this…

A bit of Status Quo..

Oklahoma..

The Blues Brothers..

Abba Medley I loved this part..

The dance choreography is stunning..

A standing ovation to Viva and its amazing Team..

A huge thank you to Leye and Martin for allowing Team Live In Blackpool to attend the official launch of Viva’s Summer Show..

I did a lovely 3 minute interview with Leye after the show, but sadly my external microphone became detached from my camera in the excitement of meeting Mr Blackpool..

But I did film Leye taking his well deserved plaudits and standing ovation at the end..
