For me personally its been a long time since I have covered a music venue due to restrictions and to be honest I felt quite nervous about it tonight. If people didn’t know I used to do music promotion for Famestage London helping to promote aspiring singers and as a guest writer on all Social Media platforms with my mate the late great Paul Miles, so I have a keen eye for talent.
When I found out that Kevin King was due to perform at the Royal Oak in Fleetwood we had to watch him. Kevin Studied at the Royal Academy of Music and is also a very accomplished pianist.
Kevin always gives 100% his energy with his powerful vocal range on stage has always had an exceptional stage presence. A true testimony to any performing artist is the audience, if they appreciate you they will make it known, the people of Fleetwood made themselves known last at the Royal Oak it was bouncing, what an incredible audience and on behalf of the Team at Live In Blackpool thank you for allowing us to film.
I did things slightly differently with this review because it was such an up close and personal performance with audience participation, and with their blessings they are involved in my video footage as Kevin performed.
I could only cover the first half of Kevin’s performance but what a half and he performed my Queen favourites so got lucky. My favourite song is Bohemian Rhapsody and the vocal range performed by Kevin is incredible as he hits every note, he normally plays the piano during his stage performance but the Royal Oak didn’t have one so he improvised with the song as you will see during the footage.
Kevin having performed as Freddie for a long time at major shows and events for a while deserves to be back on a much larger stage, having said that the venue last night was superb, I loved being made to feel welcome and it had a very good atmosphere, we will definitely be going back.
I have a few pictures of Kevin the last time I watched him perform, always incredible.
We arrived at the Royal Oak in Fleetwood, I liked this place, its a real pub with real people with an incredible atmosphere
Kevin is one of life’s good people and we consider him to be a good Friend of ours. We cant wait to see him perform again. Here is my 30 minute video of last nights performance. Listen to the vocals and watch his persona as he performs, quite incredible and no wonder he has a large loyal following
Thank you
