I was completely unaware until the last minute that the great OMD were down to support A-ha in Blackpool..
OMD are never a support act and should never be classed as one, I just couldn’t believe my luck when they actually took to the stage to the wild excitement of the crowd..
OMD Formed way back in 1978 have had incredible chart success..
They most certainly arrived with a bang in Blackpool when they told the crowd that they would be performing 13 of their all time great chart hits..!
I have to say that I am very fortunate to see lots of groups and some stadium fillers, but after watching and hearing OMD perform in Blackpool I can honestly say that are clearly one of the best bands that I have ever seen play..!
Just an incredible sound that I feel is unique in popular music..
