We finally get to visit a Theme Park in 2018..!
Our first trip and much anticipated ride on Wickerman the new multi million pound Wooden RollercoasterĀ at Alton Towers was obviously high on our agenda..

A brave move by Alton Towers and Merlin entertainments to actually build a modern day rollercoaster out of wood..
But fortune favors the brave, its an incredible piece of engineering, just to look at its construction was worth the 2 hour wait that we had to endure before we took our seats..Having said that it was a Saturday during half term school holidays so one would expect a park as good as Alton Towers to be quite busy..

My thoughts on Wickerman, an incredible ride with lots of surprises, I liked the fact that attention to detail with the theme and foliage in the Q line is top notch..My only gripe is the attention to detail with some of the finish, for example on some of the wooden fence panels it still has the timber company codes stamped on them of which I found to be annoying when they have clearly spent serious money on creating an image and style..a belt sander will remove them easily..

As the timber ages and darkens it will look so much better from an aesthetic look..

Whilst in Q line we decided to have lunch…!

We did other rides as well, Alton Towers really does have it all..!

But its not just a Theme Park, the most amazing gardens for people to enjoy of all ages..

My Vlog from our day….
