Always the best time of year is when Mr Funshine announces that the Blackpool Pleasure Beach is now open, lots has been happening over the Winter months including work inside the Valhalla ride that will be having a soft opening in April prior to it’s official launch some time later. It has been delayed due to circumstances outside the control of the Pleasure Beach and I am pleased that the park did not rush the ride the ride to completion to satisfy some of the ‘ supporters’ who have been actively pushing the park to open it. The Pleasure Beach had a Season launch on Wednesday and I couldn’t make it due to work but everything was revealed by Mrs Amanda Thompson that in April the first passengers will be riding Valhalla 🎉
I didn’t make the opening day either due to other commitments but reading the Social Media posts it was yet another success and I read lots of positive reviews regarding the Blackpool Pleasure Beach. A few fan clubs circulated some misinformation regarding photography at the Pleasure Beach of which was addressed today by the Pleasure Beach and basically you can take a camera into the park just don’t use it whilst riding or for financial or commercial gain, but please read the official Blackpool Pleasure Beach guidelines on its website for the official guidelines.
So where do I begin, this is my 53 season of visiting this incredible park and for the me personally the excitement has never decreased and I really enjoy visiting. We arrived today to catch up with people that we have not seen since last year and to see the changes to the park over the Winter months. Our first trip was to say hello to Pat and Orry at Madam Crevettes Oyster Bar situated inside the park and had a wonderful catch up . We tried some incredible shots such as Baby Guinness, Jammy Dodger and Tainted Love we also tried the incredible home made cakes made with real cream 😎👏
We obviously noticed the Big Dipper having renovation work done to it but decided not to photograph it as I want to do it in all its glory when it’s completed 🎉😎 We did a bit of photography around the park
A few of Valhalla with the boats out to tease us 👌
Thank you for reading and until next time 👍
