Opening weekend at Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Its been a while since I last did a Pleasure Beach report, but by popular request they are back..!

I will be doing regular Pleasure Beach reviews with photography and maybe a few Vlogs if I find something interesting to talk about that’s not been done a million times and is not considered to be boring..

So with the weather in Blackpool being a tad fruity this weekend, otherwise known as ‘ inclement weather, I was very surprised that the parked opened at all..!

We excitedly collected our Blackpool Pleasure Beach Season Passes for unlimited riding for the 2020 Season..A bargain at just £80 per person if you got them early..!

Every credit to the Pleasure Beach for sticking by their decision to open and to stay open..

Saturday was only slightly wet despite the old trustworthy BBC promising us that Storm Dennis would be the end of the World for the North West coastline, it was bad enough for the iconic Big One to be closed a short time after opening and would as it turned out to remain closed all weekend, of which is completely understandable as its 235feet high..

Looking round the park it looked fresh and clean, nice friendly staff, I especially liked Andrew and his caring attitude on the Dodgems, I watched him taking care of a disabled customer and gave him some good advice for future riding..

The merchandise in the various outlets dotted around the park have been selling very good quality items, I am not surprised about this as the Pleasure Beach have gone to great lengths to improve their merchandise over the years, much to the approval of the visitors..

Its always nice to catch up with Gordon, Darren, Kevin and Sheila, Martin and of course Gordon who has a bit of a reputation of jinxing the rides as they go into a mechanical breakdown after he has finished riding them..

What I love about this park is the unlimited photo opportunities, I have always enjoyed photographing this incredible park..

We enjoyed Saturday so much we returned on the Sunday, looks can be deceiving though, as despite the glorious Sunshine , it was sooooo cold..

I love this old girl, 41 years old this year..And yes I was there way back in 1979 on its first launch and have the certificate that I received, all for 75p
