The Fizz at Viva Blackpool

The Fizz formally known as Bucks Fizz winners of the 1981 Eurovision Song Contest, and sensational success ever since arrived back in Blackpool. Cheryl Baker, Mike Nolan and Jay Aston most certainly still have what it takes to fill a venue. The Fizz having sold over 50 Million records is testimony to their continued success. With The Fizz comes it’s amazing fans , I suppose that personally I could be classed as a fan but way way back in the 1980’s when I worked for the Blackpool Winter Gardens Opera House for 10 nights I was stage security for Bucks Fizz, hidden in the orchestra pit my role was to intercept intruders to the stage, it was a memorable time and I mentioned it to Cheryl last night and surprisingly she didn’t remember me 🤣.

The Fizz have the best set of loyal fans anywhere..

The Fizz took to the stage and performed all their hits and lots of new material, they have a continued relationship with Mike Stock part of the Hitman Team and everyone loved the new stuff, their album is out very soon.

After the show we caught up with amazing trio, we chatted about lots of things and it was fantastic to spend some time with them. We are attending a private performance in Cheryl’s garden with The Fizz in a few weeks and I can’t bloody wait 🙏
