Back in 2008 I started to create a website dedicated to Blackpool with my good Friend Dave Kerr, Adz, Louise Mowbray, Britchris and few others that kindly helped create a website that could showcase the good and positive things about Blackpool..
We started as I said in April 2008, prior to that we worked on a website called Live From Blackpool that although was very successful in differences behind the scenes sadly led to its downfall..
And….prior to everything else I was a Moderator and Photographer on one of the best Roller coaster sites around the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Guide that was owned by Lea Cookson..
I actually fell out with a few people around this period, it was ‘Tit for Tat’ stuff that actually got out of hand and bridges were in fact burnt..(sadly)
10 years on I actually regret that period and a lot of things should have been avoided, but maturity comes with age as they say and I am actually sorry to those I fell out with and I hope they accept my apology..
Live In Blackpool originally was set up to replicate the BPB Guide, but over the years has in fact evolved to what it is today.
Some footage from the BPB Guide..
And a radio interview from Colin..
Live In Blackpool has had a very tainted early start and it even had a successful cyber attack and with the know how and expertise by Admin Adz was able to trace the person who carried it out..
The damage was limited and I was able to rewrite some of the posts..
He became the first person in Lancashire to be convicted of a cyber attack on a website..
Some pictures from earlier reports…
Friends are made and sometimes lost, communities built and memories are made..
This guy was brilliant…’ Bonus Ball, Bonus Ball’….
This guy is a BPB Legend..
We also had wonderful meets with Dave and Lesley and Family..always be our good Friends..
Dont ask….
Chris even appeared on poster..
Tommy..I miss this guy..
I have decided to transfer all of the Pleasure Beach posts over to this new Web Site due to their historic interest..
http://www.liveinblackpool.co.uk
Is in its final year, due to Photobucket who hosted my images wanting huge fee’s it simply wasn’t viable to keep it going..
To be honest it was an old style board that had served a purpose over the years, but needed a fresh new outlook..
I have recently paid for another years subscription to 123reg who host the older website, but I wont be posting within it, just taking posts and transferring them over here until I turn it off..
I will be using a combination of Ultra 4K footage within reports, we have a very good following on You Tube, Facebook, Twitter and most recently Instagram..
There is only myself Dave Kerr and Louise left now in the current format..
But Live In Blackpool would have Died lots of times if it wasn’t for my Friend Adz and Dan who are just the most amazing IT people….
So watch this space for more Live In Blackpool updates..
PS…
We are still here..!
Thank you on behalf of the Live In Blackpool Team..
Adz, Dave, Peter and Louise and those who have contributed over the years..
