What seems an absolute age it was wonderful to return to Viva Blackpool.
Viva opened its doors last week and we went to to see The Vegas Variety Show last Saturday evening.
It was lovely to see Viva open once again and looking so busy, it’s been a very difficult time for everyone but the entertainment industry has really suffered and to see a show again on stage made me feel emotional if I am being honest.
The atmosphere inside this very comfortable theatre was electric with excited customers eagerly awaiting the start of what is one of Blackpool’s finest shows..
Leye D Johns took to the stage and was his usual and his superb way of just making people laugh, he summed it up really well during his act, he told people to try and forget all that is going on in the World at the moment and just try and laugh and have a good time, he is absolutely correct, laughter is always the best form of medicine.
The show is also a mixture of vocals dancing and just good all round quality entertainment, Viva is blessed with so many quality vocalists that perform so many songs that showcase their superb vocal ranges.
The costume changes in this very fast moving show are incredible.
As you can see elements from some hit musicals are performed during the show, and they even have some aerial stunts from The Greatest Showman performed live on stage.
My favorite is Grease..
Viva is easily one of Blackpool’s best entertainment shows, it has numerous different acts and shows performing each week that can cater for every taste and musical genre. What I like about visiting Viva is the very attentive staff who work tirelessly ensuring that your experience is as good as can be. The attention to detail and safety regarding Covid with social distancing in place with plenty of hand sanitizers .
A huge thank you to Leye D Johns, Martin Heywood and Paul Stevens for making not only our visit but everyone else who attended feel special and left feeling that we had just had a cracking night out..!
Families are also welcome to attend and the bar prices are very reasonable.
